Caviar is delicious by itself, so any accompanying dishes should be neutral so as to let the full taste of the caviar tickle your senses.
Recommended side dishes are:
Sour cream with fresh toast, half-boiled eggs, fine mashed potatoes, salmon sashimi or oysters.
Caviar should always be presented in a cold dish.
How to taste caviar
Do not use metal or silver spoons; ideally, use a mother of pearl spoon. Try out the traditional Russian way of tasting caviar: directly from the back of your hand, accompanied by a sip of champagne or Vodka.
